Although very practical, transferring files from USB sticks and other physical media carries many risks.
These media can be attack vectors if they are not properly controlled before being introduced into a secure environment. USB Drop, HID Spoofing and distribution of infected keys are just some of the methods used by cybercriminals to achieve their goals.
In response to these challenges, HOGO has developed a complete solution for secure data transfer, designed to detect any attempt at compromise via USB media.
Their range of S3 white stations includes an advanced feature: Secure File Sharing (SFS).
This solution makes it possible to implement a “no-USB” policy by setting up a centralized control point for data from removable media.
In concrete terms, the HOGO white station scans files on USB media with several antivirus engines before transferring them to a secure sharing network (S3SRV solution).
Conversely, it can also extract files from a sharing server and place them on secure USB media.
The process is 100% automated and authenticated, thanks to the creation of unique, individual, password-secured sharing sessions.
Communications between S3 stations and the web portal integrated into the HOGO management console take place via the HTTPS protocol, guaranteeing the confidentiality and integrity of exchanged data.
To further enhance the security of the S3SRV product, the GLIMPS Malware solution offers an in-depth, hybrid analysis of files, both static and dynamic, enabling an almost instantaneous verdict. This integration ideally complements the analysis capabilities of S3 stations.
Thanks to its Deep Learning-based artificial intelligence engine, GLIMPS is able to detect and characterize the most sophisticated malware as well as their variants and new unknown threats, outperforming traditional detection tools.
